What is syncing?
One-way data syncing involves pushing changes from a source application to a target application, while two-way data syncing ensures that changes made in either system are synchronized and reflected in the other application. The choice between which direction(s) works for you is dependent upon what you’re looking to accomplish.
When it comes to Airtable there are plenty of use cases for connecting multiple bases. Airtable addressed this by offering a native sync feature to customers on an Enterprise plan - but it comes with limitations.
Limitations
Accessibility - syncing is for enterprise plans with 10 licenses or more
Records - new records cannot be added from a target base
Restricted to Airtable - Operation occurs within the Airtable ecosystem so if there are databases in your toolkit that need to be synced outside of Airtable you will still need another solution.
